Sneak Peek into the World of Dragons

We're just two weeks away from the launch of The Things Dragons Do, and I'm thrilled to share a sneak peek into the book. In this book, you'll get to explore the different cultures of dragons and learn about their unique traditions and activities.

From counting treasure to playing on rainbows, my book is all about showing the fun and playful side of dragons. I've included a few sample pages from the book, so you can get a feel for the story and the illustrations. If you have any young readers in your life, I think they'll love this book. Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to learn more about the book.

(You can pre-order at Amazon or Barnes and Noble)

As someone who loves dragons and fantasy, I think you'll really enjoy this journey into the secret lives of these magical creatures. My book explores the unique things that dragons do, from playing games to hoarding unexpected treasures. I want to take you behind the scenes and share some of the inspiration behind my story. Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing sneak peeks and fun facts about dragons on my social media. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to join the adventure.

Ya'll have been patient and the time is finally here! I have the official cover for my newest book, The Things Dragons Do!

Here's the blurb: We all love dragons, in one form or another. But the funnest thing is learning what they do and the ways they help each other. Come follow along as we explore various things that dragons do, each from its own unique culture.

And, without further ado, here it is!

I'm still working on setting up the links, so no pre-order links just yet, but they are coming. This will be released in both a hardcover and paperback edition. Expect the hardcover to retail at $25.99, and the paperback around $15-18. I'll know for sure once I get everything uploaded.

Update on lateast book

I thought I'd give y'all a book update for my latest project, The Things Dragons Do.

I have finished the line art and have moved onto coloring. I've decided to give illustration/alcohol markers a go. So far I am not disappointed with the results.

I have also decided on an official release date of August 11, 2026, and will have some cover art to share soon so stay tuned! In the meantime, here's a sneak peek of what to expect, from one of the quick sketches I did prior to actual line art.

I suck at updates

Hey everyone. I know I haven't written here in a long, long, long time. I have no excuse other then that life happens, and I tend to forget about writing blog posts while dealing with the every day stuff. For those who didn't know, I am now on Instagram. That's a fun change.... Though, I confess, I'm not exactly great at updating things there, though I do try to post at least once a week. Sometimes that doesn't happen.... but it is what it is. I am still on facebook and you'll get more out of me there than anywhere else. So, what's up in my world? Well, my husband's second book, The White Raven Saga: A Change In Tides, has officially been launched into the world to quiet fanfare. Yeah, didn't really have the money or time to do a proper marketing launch campaign, sadly. But I hope you'll all go and check it out just the same because it's pretty good, especially since he doesn't consider himself an author but a storyteller. In other news, I've been turning more to my art lately, working on various projects involving sewing, painting, and generally creating. I am working on a fan fiction that has been part of an ongoing series for over a decade... and I have to go back and reread stuff with that to remember where I was going with things, stuff I've already mentioned etc, because I had to take a break with that as well due to some health issues. Yeah, not fun. Texas weather being what it is, unpredictable at the best of times, has done a number on my household and our chronic migraines, so yeah... migraine flare ups are common and often debilitating. (I debate doing a mini series of podcasts or posts about that but we'll see.) I am also now doing mentorships with select individuals, so that is also keeping me busy. And am trying to network with various creators, mostly in the voice acting industry. I'm not entirely sure if I'm trying to put my hat into the ring, regain my confidence with just reading/narrating in general, or what, but I do plan on narrating my fan fictions and posting them to the interwebs as a lead up to, hopefully, narrating my original works for audiobook consumption. In a world where AI is becoming more previlent, I think it important to keep up on that if I can, but it's definitely not easy. There are a lot of challenges so it is what it is. There are many pseudo projects in various stages of work, drafts mostly... so we'll see where that goes. There are a couple childrens book stories on the back burner, as it were, and there are a few scraps of potential novels running around, occassionally wanting attention, though not too much, so nothing major has come of them yet. I think, for the moment, I'm in "rest and recovery" mode, but am hoping my husband, Daniel, will have his third book of The White Raven Saga seris ready for me to play with soon. He's editing it, but with his many full and part time jobs to make ends meet, he's not having as much luck with working on those either. All that said, we are both plunging ahead with what we can and hoping for good things in the future.
